What is the video production process?
Video production is more than simply pressing the record button on your video camera.
We create high quality videos that tell a compelling story. Whether it is a documentary, commercial, promotional video or introductory video for your business, we will capture your ideas and make the production process as simple as possible. The process of creating a video from concept to completion consists of three phases: Pre-Production, Production and Post-Production. Phase one (Pre-Production) is where all the planning and coordination happens, phase two (Production) is when you capture all the elements that will be in your final video and phase three (Post-Production) is where all the elements get edited together and combined to create the final video.
Explaining the Video Production Process
Phase One: Pre-Production
The first step to any great video production is knowing what's in it for your audience. You need to think about who you're going to make the video for, how they generally learn and respond to information, and how you're going to deliver the message. The pre-production phase includes:

-
Video strategy/goals
-
Budget/scope
-
Story selection
-
Project timeline
-
Script creation
-
Talent/characters
-
Production team/equipment needs
-
Location Scouting
Before we start shooting your video, we need to identify all of the moving parts. From characters/spokespeople to equipment, location, and more, there is a lot that needs to be planned in order to make your video come together cohesively. Shooting on location is great for authenticity, but can be costly. Shooting in a studio has its benefits, like consistency and control of lighting and sound. In either case, it is very important that things are planned out beforehand.

Fact Finding: One of the fundamental aspects of video production is the identification of the concise message that you would like your video to convey. Our team will work with you to discuss this message, its purpose, the strategy, and the tone for your project. We'll also seek to understand your vision for how the video will be used and discuss branding, the target audience, and the tone and feel of the piece.
-
Pre-Production Meeting: This meeting is held between our production team and the client to discuss details about the video production process, timeline, location details, etc., and come up with the budget for the project.
-
Site Visit (Optional): Video production involves a lot of planning, so it is very helpful to do a site visit before production. This gives us an opportunity to see exactly what environment our team will be working with and figure out what changes/adjustments would be necessary for the best shoot outcome.
-
Shoot Preparation: Prior to filming your video, our production team will ensure that scripts have been reviewed, questions submitted, and dates finalized. They will also ensure that you have a clear understanding of what needs to be done during the shoot. This ensures the smooth running of the production process and ensures that the shoot is completed on time.
Phase Two: Production
This is the part where the actual video footage for your video will be captured. Our team will be on set to ensure that your vision and ideas are captured exactly as per your requirements.

The production phase includes:
-
Setting up the sound/lighting/video equipment
-
Conducting interviews
-
Recording voiceovers (if they are needed for your project)
-
Capturing b-roll (extra footage that is used to support your story)
Phase Three: Post-Production
The post-production phase of your video production will begin after the production phase is finished. During this phase, our team will compile all the footage and edit your final video! This final phase consists of –
